Using wool and silk fibres in a 'painterly' way and using felting techniques, I produce warm and textural felt 'paintings' I use the fibres as if they were paint on a brush and build them up over several layers. Once I am happy, I then apply warm soapy water and a lot of elbow grease, rolling the piece until the fibres shrink and knit together forming the finished piece of felt. I then free machine embroider into the piece for added definition

All are mounted, but unframed and an can be framed at a reasonable extra cost. We are happy to post out and are offering free uk postage, or we can deliver locally or arrange pick up from either our studio in Yealand Redmayne or from Pier Lane Gallery Please just get in touch if you’d like more information.
